Seven Eastern Oregon track and field athletes earned academic awards from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Ten Eastern Oregon athletic programs earned the Scholar-Team Distinction for the 2018-19 academic year by the NAIA. There were a total of 1,883 teams honored across the country.
The 2018-19 athletic year wrapped up last Wednesday night with the 2019 Mountie Awards as 29 honors were given away. The awards were hosted by EOU women's basketball players Madison Crews and Jane Nelson.
